[ more details ] ABC interview helps Lift the Lid on men experiencing sexual assault or abuseOn 2 June, Dr Gary Foster of Living Well and Nick Wymarra of Wuchopperen , two featured speakers from the Family Planning Queensland Cairns Sexual Assault Service forum, 'Lifting the Lid: Supporting men who have experienced sexual assault or sexual abuse', were interviewed by ABC Far North Queensland's Fiona Sewell, on her program 'Mornings with Fiona Sewell'. You may listen to the ABC interview here, to learn more about the issues unique to men who have experienced sexual assault and abuse, and the importance of developing tailored services and resources to help them heal. FPQ wins "Deadly Sex" Collaboration for Change award
FPQ's Sunshine Coast Indigenous Young People's Sexual Health Project (funded by OATSIH) has won the Deadly Sex Congress Award for “Collaboration for Change”. In presenting the award, Dion Tatow from QAIHC acknowledged FPQ's genuine commitment to working in partnership with community leaders and with both Aboriginal and mainstream organisations to implement this project.
